"Die Hard 5" is going to die harder and with even more vengeance, thanks to director John Moore.
Deadline has learned that 20th Century Fox has narrowed in on Moore to direct the latest installment of the "Die Hard" series. The "Max Payne" and "Flight of the Phoenix" helmer was one of four directors on the table for the upcoming sequel. The plan is to have the film start shooting in Russia later this year.
As for the plot of the movie, rumor has it that John McClane and his son will be "drawn into a conflict with local forces" in Russia, and they will have to avoid dying hard outside of the country.
In other Bruce Willis news, Summit Entertainment is currently on the hunt for a director for a sequel to last year's hit, "Red." That movie went on to gross $90 million in the US, and Summit wants the flick's stars back for more. The first film was directed by "The Time Traveler's Wife" helmer Robert Schwentke, but Summit wants a different director this time around according to Deadline because Schwentke is busy filming "R.I.P.D." with Jeff Bridges and Ryan Reynolds.
Apparently the name being floated around is Breck Eisner, best known for his work on "The Crazies" and "Sahara." But Deadline says that Eisner isn't the only director being looked into, and that other names are being considered as well.
