Seann William Scott Happy To Play 'Three Dimensional Character' In 'Goon'

Seann William Scott knows what type of character he usually plays. He broke out thanks to the antics of a fast-talking sex maniac, Steve Stifler from the "American Pie" movies, and ended up playing similar characters throughout his career.

The Seann William Scott of "Goon," however, is an entirely different monster, a gentle one. Doug Glatt is good at one thing: kicking the crap out of guys. One thing Doug is not good at is hockey. Despite that combination, the owner of a local Canadian hockey club recruits Doug to save a dying team.

MTV News talked with Scott and his co-star and the film's co-writer Jay Baruchel about the character Doug and why there aren't many hockey movies.

For Doug, Scott simply enjoyed the chance to play a character that had more to him than Stifler. "It was just an awesome experience because it was so well-written, such a huge challenge for me to play a three dimensional character for once," Scott said. "It was much more comforting and enjoyable to play a guy who's nice and a good guy. I think it was easier for me to do that than to play a total jackass."

Baruchel wrote Doug and the film with a very particular viewer in mind. As a young Canadian hockey fan, Baruchel wanted a movie for enthusiasts like himself.

"[Hockey] is part of the reason I get up in the morning. It?s my favorite sport. It?s my religion," Baruchel said. "The marketplace is fairly barren when it comes to hockey flicks. I think there been precious few good ones for most of my life. It was just our chance to give Canadian kids a movie I feel like they've been waiting for, for a long time. Whoever digs this movie, we want them to connect to it, but we made it with a very specific group of people in mind."

Lady Gaga Opens Up About Sometimes Feeling 'Worthless'

Lady Gaga confessed she wants to have enough children to form a "soccer team" when she sat down with talk show maven Oprah Winfrey for "Oprah's Next Chapter." In the intimate chat, which took place at Gaga's childhood home in New York City, the never-press-shy Gaga made another big announcement.

"Other than this interview, Oprah, I don't intend to speak to anyone for a very long time. I have to shut out the noise," Mother Monster told Winfrey, according to Gossip Cop. "The latest thing I do is I don't read a damn thing. No press, no television. If my mom calls and says, 'Did you hear about?' I don't want to know nothing about anything that is going on ... I shut it all off."

Gaga's mother was on hand for parts of the interview, sharing that in Gaga's early days, her father thought she had a "screw loose" while she was performing at downtown New York nightclubs in her bra while lighting hairspray on fire. The superstar added that there's one thing about her current act that her mother isn't a big fan of.

"She doesn't like when I swear," Gaga said, with her mother adding, "You're effective without it."

Another part of the candid chat also focused on Gaga's youth, during which she said she was frequently bullied. "There really is no difference between the bully and the victim," she said. "I would like to do a psychological autopsy on as many bullies and victims as possible ... How do we understand what breeds hatred, what breeds anger?" She added that despite all "all the praise you receive, something inside of you is scarred by those experiences. ... Sometimes I feel worthless." Parts of the special were also filmed at Harvard University last month.

The singer and the talk show host were on hand at the prestigious college to launch Gaga's Born This Way Foundation.

"I just have one thing to say before we get started: We got Oprah! ... Thank you from all of us ? from my entire team, from my mother, from the bottom of the hearts of so many people who believe in what we're doing today," Gaga said at the launch. She explained that the foundation seeks to empower the youth of America, adding, "How can we inspire young people to know they have the power to be brave?"

Rihanna Sneaks A Peek Of Drake's 'Take Care' Video

While fans are salivating for the chance to see what Rihanna and Drake will be up to in their highly anticipated "Take Care" video, the singer opened up a bit about the clip.

In an interview with Capital FM, the always-feisty Rihanna teased that she recently saw the finished video and it lived up to her expectations.

"I can't wait to see what all my fans think. I saw it a couple of days ago. I love it," she said. "It's beautiful. It's different from anything Drake has ever done."

Ri was spotted heading to one of Drake's shows earlier this week in London when he performed at the O2 arena. Post-show, the twosome were spotted at London hotspot Low. Perhaps she saw the video during their hangout session?

Rihanna and Drake previously appeared together in her video for "What's My Name?" In the clip, the real-life pals played a lovey-dovey couple, and fans have been waiting to see what these two had in store for the "Take Care" video since February, when word of the shoot went public.

Director Yoann Lemoine called the three-day shoot "very minimal" and "mellow," adding, "They seemed to be super close, and that's what I wanted for the video. They fit together pretty well, so it was just easy.

"There's a lot of space in the video, and I wanted the visuals to pay tribute to that," he continued. "It pays tribute to nature. When I listened to the track, I was seeing a landscape ... involving animals and massive landscapes. I won't say too much, but it's very surprising that there are very few elements in it. It's very simple but there's this big sense of emptiness in it. It's not narrative at all, and it involves animals."

Taylor Swift Tops Billboard 2012 Top Money Makers

Lady Gaga, Katy Perry and Adele had huge years in 2011, with major tours, strings of hit singles, Grammy wins and #1-hogging chart-topping albums. But when Billboard magazine compiled its 2012 list of "Music's Top 40 Money Makers" it was Taylor Swift who ruled them all. In fact, the 22-year-old country-pop darling out-earned all of her fellow ladies combined.

According to the magazine's calculations, Swift earned her #1 spot on the list thanks to reported earnings of $35.7 million in the 2011 calendar year. Those earnings came from a combination of revenue from the quadruple-platinum-plus sales of Speak Now and its accompanying tour, which grossed $88.5 million in the U.S. alone.

But because Swift writes her own songs, she rolled up a big chunk of change in songwriting royalties as well.

Right behind Swift was iconic rock band U2, who earned a reported $32.1 million thanks to their record-setting 360 Tour -- which grossed a whopping $736 million total over two years -- including $50 million in merchandise sales and 1.4 million in digital track sales.

Country singer Kenny Chesney was #3 with $29.8 million, followed by previous tally topper Gaga at #4 with $25.3 million. She stayed in the top 5 thanks to sales of Born This Way and its accompanying Monster Ball Tour, which grossed more than $51 million. She also moved 12.7 million digital tracks. Lil Wayne rounded out the top 5 with $23.1 million, made up of 12.3 million digital track sales, $44.7 million in tour grosses and cash from his gig as founder of Young Money Entertainment.

The rest of the top 10: Sade (#6, $16.3 million), Bon Jovi (#7, $15.8 million), Celine Dion (#8, $14.2 million) and Jason Aldean (#9, $13.4 million). Adele rounded out the top 10 list at #10 with $13 million, mostly from the unstoppable streak of her 21 album's chart run,? which included sales of 6.7 million copies last year alone.

The "Glee" cast were just outside the top 10 at #11 ($12.5 million), Katy Perry hit #14 ($11.9 million), Britney Spears was at #16 ($10 million) and like her sisters in pop, Rihanna made it to #22 ($7.6 million) through a combination of album and single sales and touring revenue.

Other notable entries: Enrique Iglesias (#23, $7.4 million), Usher (#30, $6.2 million), Foo Fighters (#31, $6 million), Justin Bieber (#35, $5.5 million), Kanye West (#39, $5.3 million) and Linkin Park (#40, $5.1 million).

Billboard calculated the figures based on proprietary data from its Boxscore archives for concert grosses, Nielsen SoundScan for sales of physical and digital albums, singles and ringtone sales, and Nielsen BDS for terrestrial radio play and streaming service information.

Lady Gaga Surpasses 20 Million Followers On Twitter

Lady Gaga is known for her prolific Internet presence, and now she can lay claim to another achievement: She's the first person to pass 20 million followers on Twitter.

Mother Monster has yet to acknowledge the feat on her social network of choice, but, on February 9, when she noticed her number of followers eclipsed 19 million, she good-naturedly tweeted, "19 Million Followers!!! HOLY HOOKER!!! *goes back to work*"

Like many celebrities, Gaga has used Twitter to forge a closer relationship with her fans as well as make announcements about her career and respond to criticism, as she recently did when British music magazine NME named her hit album Born This Way the Most Pretentious Album Ever.

Gaga has been the most followed person on Twitter since August 2010, when she blasted past Britney Spears for the title when she reached 5.6 million followers.

Spears now enjoys 13.6 million followers, making her the seventh most-followed person on the network. Currently in third place is Katy Perry with 15.7 million followers. Shakira (14.5 million) and Rihanna (14.5 million) are not far behind.

The only person within spitting distance of Gaga on Twitter is Justin Bieber. The recent birthday boy has just over 18 million followers. He is, however, a far more prolific tweeter than Gaga; the Los Angeles Times notes that he has sent out 10 times as many tweets as the "Born This Way" diva.

Gaga also enjoys a massive following on Facebook, where she's been "liked" by nearly 49 million people. But Mother Monster cannot claim being the boss on Facebook. That title belongs to Rihanna, who has been liked by nearly 53 million individuals.

Lady Gaga's 26th Birthday: Her 10 Best MTV Quotes!

Listen up, Little Monsters: It's Mother Monster's 26th birthday! And in that quarter of a century (plus one year!), Lady Gaga has managed to reinvent the pop wheel with her eccentric persona and pumping, politically charged dance music. When asked how she planned to celebrate another year, she simply told a Monster on Twitter, "Quinceanera."

While we'll be Quinceaera-ing in spirit, we will celebrate her colorful life and career by remembering 10 of the most-revealing bites she's shared with MTV News. So, dabble on some glitter, put on your best wig, platforms and leotard, and let's take a stroll down memory lane ? in no particular order.

10. In 2009, Gaga sat down and explained that when "Poker Face" was re-imagined by Kanye West and Kid Cudi as "I Poke Her Face" (later changed to "Make Her Say"), she felt that it was time for someone to get the true meaning of the lady-love euphemism.

Check out our Lady Gaga soundboard, and leave a birthday message for Mother Monster!

"It's funny, because a lot of my fans were like, 'Gaga, Kanye wrote a song ... and it's not about what your record's about. Your record is about gambling, and this song is about dirty sex things,' " she recalled. "I said to them, 'You're wrong. Kanye was right,' " she explained, laughing.

"That's exactly what this song is about. The record is about how I used to fantasize about women when I was with my boyfriend. It was really exciting that he had so much insight into what the song was about. He's a cool guy."

9. Gaga's pop-music kinship with Beyonc has been well-documented in two songs: G's "Telephone" and B's "Video Phone." When Gaga headed to shoot the Hype Williams-directed video for "Video Phone," she had this message for the team: "I said, 'I want to do you in your video, and I want to tribute you. I want to dress up like you,' " Gaga recalled telling her co-star. "And Hype Williams ... was so excited. He was like, 'Gaga, I want no makeup on your face.' It was really stripped down ? real Beyonc hair, and we wore the same outfit in the video, and I [paid tribute to] her."

8. Gaga's love for her hometown of NYC is hardly surprising, and she shared on the MTV special "Inside the Outside" that when she sat down to write the track "Marry the Night," "he" was the perfect muse to inspire the song. "It's never gonna go away, the tan of New York never goes away," she explained about always identifying with the city that bred her.

7. During the same special, Gaga opened up about her other inspiration ? her fans ? adding, "The biggest surprise to me has been my relationship with my fans. They've changed my life. The fans are the thing that you can't learn; they were the instrument in the music that nobody taught me about."

6. Always politically charged and motivated, Gaga has made it her mission to not only make chart-topping music, but also be a voice for the disenfranchised. When she sat down for "MTV First: Lady Gaga" in 2011, she explained that, despite her strong political beliefs, she wouldn't want to run for office.

"Well, first of all, I wouldn't want to be president for the day," she said. "And I say that because I really, for myself, it's important that my message, although it has political implications, I like to keep myself separate because politics can constrain things," she continued. "So, our message can be completely free of any politics, and we can just surge forward."

5. During that "MTV First," when she debuted her video for "Yo and I," the singer discussed how difficult love can sometimes be and how her art explores that theme. "Sometimes in love, you can't make it work," she said. "No matter what you do, there's this giant boundary between you and someone else. So, that's what it's about: perceiving in your imagination that there's something magical inside of you that you can make it work."

4. At the 2011 VMAs, she pulled the ultimate costume change by appearing as her male alter-ego, Jo Calderone. Gaga, as Jo, took home the Moonman for her fist-pumping equality anthem "Born This Way." Afterward, Jo explained, "She was texting me after the award, after I picked it up for her, and she just said, 'You know, more than anything I've ever gotten before, this means more to me, because "Born This Way" is about the fans and the fans are more important to me than anything I do; more important than f---ing breathing, you know?' "

3. In late 2011, Gaga released her semi-autobiographical video for "Marry the Night," noting that history can be reinterpreted for her art, if need be. "This was one of the first times that the fashion didn't propel so much of the story line," she explained. "It is autobiographical, so the entire story's true, and it's through the lens of how I choose to repaint my past."

2. Behind every great woman is a great Haus. Gaga's famed, rarely spotted, Haus of Gaga are the folks who help create the live shows, fashions and accessories she wears. And they mean everything to her. "They're my best friends," she said. "I'm not really sure what the world thinks ... but I do hear things like, 'Who is the Haus of Gaga?' and 'Are you putting out a fashion line?' And no one gets it. It's not a commodity. It's not something that's meant to be sold.

"It's a real bond and relationship, and that's what I think music and art is about," she said. "They are my heart and soul. They believe in me, and they look at me like a mother and daughter and sister, with pride and love."

1. In the end, everything Gaga does is for her art, and there's no place Gaga feels more at home than onstage in front of thousands of screaming fans. "I don't see the live show as extension of the record at all, it's meant to be a completely different experience with the artist, with myself. I want my fans to come and go to a party," she told MTV News.

"I want them to watch the show and think, 'I'm so f---ing cool that I am here right now.' It's about them. It's about love. It's about art. The show is meant to bring a tremendous feeling and sentiment of escapism."

Justin Bieber, 'Watch Your Back': Carly Rae Jepsen Loves Pranks Too!

"Punk'd" kicked off in a big way Thursday night. Justin Bieber was enlisted to host the premiere episode of the new season, and he didn't shy away from pulling fast ones on his A-list friends.

Bieber made Taylor Swift believe she ruined a wedding, leaving her in tears. And when he pranked MTV's own Rob Dyrdek, he caught on and ended up joining forces with the Biebs to get Sean Kingston instead; the stunned singer stood up for an angry assistant who drove her boss' car into a restaurant. Bieber also double-crossed Miley Cyrus, who thought she was pranking him, but he ended up fighting the kids she sent out to poke fun of him. She definitely wasn't expecting that and ended up pretty shocked by the reverse prank.

Bieber is a known prankster in real life, and his pal and label signee Carly Rae Jepsen opened up to MTV News about his punker side ? and proudly said she's ready to take him on anytime.

"I haven't seen that side of him myself yet, but I heard he's a bit of a prankster, which is good. I like that," she told MTV News. "I'm going to give him a run for his money. I enjoy a prank or two myself. It's on! Watch your back!"

Cyrus will be back for more "Punk'd" fun later this season, when she hosts her own episode. She'll punk beau Liam Hemsworth and pal Khlo Kardashian. Demi Lovato, the Wanted and more will also get "Punk'd" later this season.

Don't miss "Punk'd" every Thursday at 10 p.m. on MTV. For continuing "Punk'd" coverage, be sure to check in with MTV's Remote Control blog.

'Anchorman 2': What Should Ron Burgundy Do Next?

"Anchorman 2" is officially on the way, and the MTV Movies team is officially way too pumped for the long awaited sequel. We've already run down the cameos we want to see and the long road Ron Burgundy traveled on his way back to the big screen, but our obsession is far from over: until a plotline is announced, it's up to us to develop our own ideas for the "Anchorman" sequel's plot.

Keep reading for the Movies team's ridiculous plot predictions!

Ryan Rigley: "My pitch: after being fired from CNN World News, Ron and Veronica are reunited with the old Channel 4 news team just in time to cover the launching of the Challenger space shuttle. But this proves to be a task easier said than done as Wes Mantooth and the evening news team are also assigned the story, along with a handful of other rival news teams. With the hopes of getting some exclusive coverage, the Channel 4 news team breaks into mission control and inadvertently causes the Challenger to explode moments after liftoff."

Brian Phares: "Another spacebound idea: now that Ron Burgundy and Veronica Corningstone have reached the pinnacle of their success as network anchors, there's only one branch of news left to cover: the world. They team up with media mogul Ted Turner who has built a space station as his headquarters for his new world news network. Ron and friends high tail it up to space and uncover an evil alien plot to destroy the world through subliminal messages planted in vagisil commercials. Expect moonwalking, trips to Pleasure Town and male chauvinism galore."

Kate Callahan: "For me, one of the funniest scenes in 'Anchorman' is the alley fight between the guys at Channel 4 and their competitors around San Diego. Wielding a wooden chair leg, Ron Burgundy faces off against other anchors played by Vince Vaughn, Ben Stiller, Luke Wilson and Tim Robbins. A rematch in the sequel can make for some fun cameos and a chance for Ron to find a stranger household item to use as a weapon."

Kara Warner: "Completely agreed. The only thing I really want to see in the sequel is another amazing network-on-network street brawl, complete with the 'Como estan, bitches?!?' intro from hilarious, mustacheod cameo man Ben Stiller. Maybe they can get another Spanish-speaking network in there for fun and have Ferrell's buddy Danny McBride along for the ride, too?"

Joel Hanek: "As someone who has dressed up as Brian Fantana for two Halloweens I can earnestly say that I don?t even care what they do ? the fact that an 'Anchorman' sequel is actually happening at all is amazing and I?ve already tried to pre-order tickets for the midnight screening. The only thing I ask is that the original cast comes back and we finally see the News Team assembled once again. I hope they don?t cast another female lead because Christina Applegate?s Veronica Corningstone is the perfect balance to Ron. One thing I do hope they do is expand the outrageous cameos ? I would love to see what Will Arnett, Danny McBride, Bill Hader, Kristen Wiig, or Jonah Hill could do in the Burgandy-verse."

Five Action Heroes Justin Bieber Should Punk

by Fallon Prinzivalli

Much to every celebrity's chagrin, "Punk'd" is back. This time around Hollywood's A-listers are turning on each other as Ashton Kutcher relinquishes his role as Prank King to a different celeb every week. Justin Bieber hosted last night's premiere bringing Taylor Swift to tears when she thought she destroyed a wedding, and subsequently, a relationship.

The reactions to the pranks are priceless and that sparked our imagination. What if Bieber had punk'd a few action heroes on last night's episode? Due to the grandeur of their actions, there's no doubt their reactions would greatly surpass celebs. Continue after the jump for our picks of heroes Bieber could give the "Punk'd" treatment to in the future!

Indiana Jones
Bieber should make Indy think he blew up the American Museum of Natural History. He's one fearless hero, but the professor and lover of artifacts in him would be completely mortified. There's a good chance he'd also be reduced to tears.

Neo from 'The Matrix'
Hack the hacker ? that's what Bieber should do. Neo goes from a computer hacker to a manipulator of the world around him. What would he do if he thought he manipulated the world to the point of an apocalypse? We're not exactly sure how the Biebs would accomplish this prank, but he has manipulated the hearts of millions of girls so we know he'll come up with something.

Terminator
The robotic soldier initially sent to destroy the human race ends up returning in the second film as a hero. The latter version of the Terminator is the one JB would have to prank, otherwise he may not make it past the opening credits of the show (hasta la vista, baby?). Could you imagine the Terminator attempting to round up escaped zoo animals or something? We're laughing just thinking about it.

Selene from 'Underworld'
Jokes are completely foreign to the leather-clad vampire. In a constant fight for her life ? first from lycans, then her own kind, then humans and back to lycans ? we can barely remember seeing her crack a smile. Being on "Punk'd" might loosen her up a bit. Well, that, or she'll kill everyone in sight before they're able to reveal to her that she's on MTV. Maybe we need to rethink this pick...

Chunk from 'The Goonies'
Chunk may not come to mind when you think of action heroes, but he's certainly earned his right to the title. When the Goonies were at the mercy of the Fratelli's, Chunk showed up with Sloth to not only save them but the entire Goon Docks, too. He's extremely gullible, which makes him Biebs' perfect target. JB would have to incorporate food into the prank, since Chunk is constantly eating and can smell ice cream when it's locked in a freezer 20 feet away. It's a unique gift and if you mess with Chunk's food?human body parts, perhaps??it's bound to get quite the reaction.

What action heroes do you think should be featured on "Punk'd?" Tell us in the comments and on Twitter!

'X Factor' Finalist Marcus Canty's New Single 'Strictly For The Ladies'

He may have finished in fourth place on "The X Factor," but Marcus Canty should definitely consider himself a winner. Earlier this year, the R&B singer signed a deal with mentor L.A. Reid at Epic Records, along with fellow contestants Chris Rene and Astro, and now he has just released his first single, "Won't Make a Fool Out of You."

The smooth ballad, which shows off Canty's vocal strength, will be featured on the soundtrack to the film "Think Like a Man," but Canty promises he was thinking only of the ladies when making the song.

"This is strictly for the ladies," Canty told MTV News. "What the fellas can do with this, you can take it and play it for your ladies, you can wind down, you can dance to it."

Canty, who revealed that he will soon be shooting a video for the single, is still in the studio putting the finishing touches on his debut album, with help from his "X Factor" mentor, Reid.

"L.A Reid has been such a great mentor. He's loved the records that I've cut so far ? he's enjoying it," Canty said. "He just wants me to continue to be myself. I just like to have fun. I want to make good music ? I want to be somebody. He always tells me, 'Don't let anyone take away your joy.' That's what will carry me for a long time."

There was, however, a time when Canty wasn't experiencing a whole lot of joy in his life, when he broke up with a longtime girlfriend. Yet he turned his pain into inspiration for his upcoming album.

"Growing up, I had this girl. I was young, but I was so in love, from the third grade until probably right before the show, a year before the show, and I was heartbroken," Canty revealed. "Definitely even the single, when I was in the studio recording it, I try to envision a specific person when I'm singing a song, so then when I'm singing it, you'll feel what I'm saying."

Canty, who wowed crowds on the "X Factor" stage singing everything from Michael Jackson to Janis Joplin, is now ready to show everyone who he really is.

"It's going to be some heat. My album can touch a lot of different basics. I want to make good music [that] people can relate to, and I think my album is a cluster of a lot of different things," Canty said.

"I'm a regular guy, but when it comes to the stage and when it comes to recording, when it comes to my music, I'm super-passionate about it. I take my music so serious."

Nas Chose Producers Who Were 'Gonna Be There' For Life Is Good

Throughout his career, Nas has worked with some of the most celebrated hip-hop producers from Dr. Dre and DJ Premier to the Trackmasters and Swizz Beatz, but for his next LP, Esco chose to keep the vibe more intimate.

"I wanted to work on a record where it's just not a lot of people," Nas said when he appeared on "RapFix Live" on Wednesday. "So it's mostly No I.D., Saalam Remi, Da Internz; those are the ones who basically gave me the music. They knew what I wanted; they sat with me."

On 2001's Stillmatic, Remi contributed the beat for "What Goes Around" and then came back the next year to give Esco two singles for his God's Son LP ("Made You Look" and "I Can"). No I.D. and Nas have some history as well. In 2007, the Nasty one hopped on the No I.D.-produced cut "Success" off of Jay-Z's American Gangster album, and late last year, Nas, Common and the Chicago producer collaborated on "Ghetto Dreams."

"I needed producers that's gonna be there and get into what I want to get into, have the conversation and start making the records based off of what I'm looking for," God's Son said.

Heavy D also lent a production hand prior to his death last year, making the beat for Life is Good's latest single, "The Don." Nas didn't find out the Heavy sent the music for him to use until after he died however. "I looked up to Heav," he said. "He's an icon, a music icon."

'Skyfall' Production Diaries Profile Two New Bond Girls

by Ryan Rigley

Bond girls. James Bond girls. Thanks to the newest videoblogs posted on 007.com and MSN UK, we now have an official first look at Bond's latest femme fatales. Brnice Marlohe, who plays Severine, and Naomie Harris, who plays Eve, will both be playing deadly women with looks that kill, following the tradition of Bond girls from movies past.

"Skyfall" shows Bond?s faith in M being tested as her mysterious past comes back to haunt her. With MI6 under attack, it?s up to Bond to once again seek out the threat and destroy it no matter how personally invested he is in the matter. Marlohe and Harris will be joining the already star-studded cast of "Skyfall," acting alongside heavy hitters such as Daniel Craig, Javier Bardem, Dame Judi Dench, and Ralph Fiennes.

Click past the jump to find out more about Eve and Severine!

"Eve is a field agent. She's very capable,? states Harris. ?She kind of sees herself as Bond's equal. She's not, but that's how she sees herself." Harris? take on Eve appears to be tough in a way that transcends gender.

Displaying her firearm capabilities, Harris looks like she can definitely take care of herself. "I've been training for like two months now. I've mainly been doing guns; machine guns and hand guns in particular."

Marlohe?s Severine also appears to be very capable of defending herself. ?The first time you see her, she has a dark side,? says the actress on her character. If that is the case, perhaps Severine will have something to do with the attack on MI6.

As is the norm for the series, it definitely looks like Bond will have his hands full again with this new set of Bond girls.

What did you think of the new production diaries? Let us know in the comments below and on Twitter!

Lady Gaga Launches Born This Way Foundation

Lady Gaga and her mother, Cynthia Germanotta, took over Harvard University to launch their Born This Way Foundation on Wednesday (February 29). In front of a crowd that included Oprah Winfrey, the New York natives kicked off their inspirational foundation, hoping to empower the youth of America.

"I was recently with the great Gloria Steinem, who said that sometimes the only way you can get attention to a problem is to freak people out," Oprah said at the event." 'Break the form,' she said. You have to stop playing the game in order to change the content. Lady Gaga, with her music and her message and her own story, is breaking the form, and she is changing consciousness. She says that she wasn't put on earth just to sing songs; her passion is to be that force for good. The Born This Way Foundation is in line with so many of my core beliefs."

Gaga enthusiastically opened up about the foundation and what she hopes to do with it. "I just have one thing to say before we get started: We got Oprah! ... Thank you from all of us ? from my entire team, from my mother, from the bottom of the hearts of so many people who believe in what we're doing today," she said, wearing a chocolate-brown gown, brown lace gloves, towering platforms and a sparkly fishnet hat.

"I'm not here today to give you an answer. And I'm not here to tell you I can solve these problems [of bullying]. This is about transformative change in culture over a period of time. One of the most important things I wanted to share with all of you today, it's no secret I speak out against bullying. This is not an anti-bullying foundation; this is a youth-empowerment foundation," she continued. "This is about changing the climate of the school environment and not putting the power in the hands of the teachers or the government. It is about the bubble effect. I don't believe they have the answers; I believe that you do."

In addition to her fans, Gaga said her biggest influence to start the foundation is her own Mother Monster. "My mother really inspires me, because she talked about giving back ever since I was very, very young," she said. "And the more that I got to know my fans, the more that I realized that not everybody has that support system at home."

Her mother later enthused that despite the snow outside, "It is even more beautiful inside because we are launching the foundation. The youth that is listening: you are the leaders of our future."

Gaga also revealed another aspect of the foundation: "There is a bus now called the Born Brave Bus. So the Born Brave Bus is essentially a bus that is going to travel and follow my tour bus around the country, and it will welcome anyone from any walk of life to come and hang out and talk about love, acceptance, kindness and so forth. And the best thing about it it's going to be fun. It's going to essentially be a tailgate. This is not about saying, 'I need help,' but if you do, you can come. If you want to help someone else, you can come and say 'Hey, what's up?' "

At the end of the day, Gaga said the foundation "is all about saying the power is in your hands. There really is sort of a focus on the victim, but what I want to point out today is that the victim and the bully are on the same playing field. How do we say, 'You are both equal members of society'? How do we not save not just the victim, but also the bully? I want the Born This Way Foundation to empower the youth of the world."

Gaga further explained that one of the core values is teaching her fans to empower themselves to be "brave."

"This, again, is not focused on bullying, the bravery aspect; I want for young people to know they have the power," she said. "How can we inspire young people to know they have the power to be brave?"

James Cameron's Deep-Sea Dive Will Influence 'Avatar' Sequels

For as long as we've known about definite plans for the two planned "Avatar" sequels, James Cameron has talked openly about his ambition to explore the oceans of Pandora.

Back on Earth, Cameron has been busy exploring the oceans we all know in his solo trips to the very bottom. When MTV UK spoke with Cameron during promotions for "Titanic 3D," the director said that his dives will influence the further adventures of the Na'vi in some way. He's just not sure how yet.

"The 'Avatar' films, of which you've only seen one, will always be heavily influenced by the ocean and by my exploration and my diving and all that," Cameron said. "So I'm not sure exactly how what I find on this expedition will manifest itself in those movies, but I guarantee there will be some connection."

But before Cameron lines up his next trips to Pandora, he's urging people to experience "Titanic" on the big screen, the way it was meant to be seen. A new ad for the 3D re-release of "Titanic" provides the perfect example of how not to experience the second biggest movie of all time.

The spot begins with the classic image of Leonardo DiCaprio sketching a person most people would presume is Kate Winslet. Most people would be very, very wrong.

In her place on the couch across the way, is the Situation of "Jersey Shore" fame, posing in the buff like one of Jack's French girls. If James Cameron wanted to convince the world that "Titanic" is best seen on the big screen, mission accomplished, sir.

Armie Hammer Claims 'Mirror Mirror' Does Snow White Best

This Friday marks the release of the first of two "Snow White" films coming out this year. Whether it wants to or not, "Mirror Mirror" will be the project that "Snow White and the Huntsman"?due out in June?will inevitably be compared to. When MTV News sat down with Prince Charming himself, Armie Hammer, the "Social Network" star said that there were no hard feelings between the two films because, put simply, he thinks "Mirror Mirror" is better.

"I'm interested to see what they did, absolutely," he said about "Snow White and the Huntsman." "I think that what we did was family friendly. Parents are going to go to it and enjoy it almost as much as the kids will. They're going to have a really good time. I think everybody will."

But Hammer wasn't going to let the interview end without putting up a bit more of an argument than that. Of course he feels his movie is better than Kristen Stewart's! And he wanted to make sure the audience feels that way too.

"Our movie kicks that movie's ass. Let's be honest. And we're out first and, I mean, come on. No, I'm just kidding," he said with a laugh, adding that he expected to be cut off by a publicist for saying that type of stuff about "Snow White and the Huntsman." When he wasn't, though, he threw down his final gauntlet.

"Our Rotten Tomatoes score is going to be so much higher," he joked.

Do you plan on seeing "Mirror Mirror" when it comes out tomorrow? Which movie do you think looks better: this or "Snow White and the Huntsman"? Tell us in the comments section below or on Twitter!

Happy Birthday, Lady Gaga! 26 Letters For 26 Years

Lady Gaga turned 26 years young on Wednesday (March 28), and to help celebrate, MTV News drew up a handy A-to-Z guide touching on some of the most exciting things to come from Mother Monster. Read on and share your birthday wishes for the pop princess!

A: April 27. On that day, Gaga will launch what's sure to be one of the year's most spectacular spectacles at the Olympic Stadium in Seoul, Korea, which brings us to ...

B: ... Born This Way Ball! We were there when Gaga announced the name of the tour in Atlantic City, New Jersey, last year, and it has been hinted that we can expect an "electro pop opera." She had us at "opera."

C: Castle. Mother Monster tweeted an image of the stage design for the tour, and the elaborate gothic castle has us excited.

D: "Dark." Gaga's former creative director, Laurieann Gibson, opened up just last week about why she parted ways with the pop star, telling "ET Canada" that Gaga's ideas "got a little dark for me creatively."

E: Elton John. The godmother to John's adopted son, Gaga has teased a duet with the "Rocket Man" singer for her next album.

F: Fernando Garibay. The musical director behind Born This Way told MTV News that the new album already has a title and concept.

G: Gothic. Veils, brooches and lots of black: Gaga has adopted a gothic theme for her tour, but also in her fashion choices.

H: "Heavy Metal Lover." This jam has been begging for radio play; at the very least, the BTW cut should make it to the tour set list.

I: Inez & Vinoodh. The Dutch photography duo were heavily involved in the spectacle surrounding Gaga's "Yo and I" video, crafting awesome fashion clips after the official music video.

J: Joanne. Lady Gaga's parents recently opened this Italian trattoria, named for Gaga's late aunt, on New York City's Upper West Side.

K: Kinney, as in Taylor Kinney. The beautiful man who played Gaga's love interest in the "Yo and I" video is rumored to be her real-life love interest too.

L: Luc Carl. Gaga must still be on good terms with her ex-BF, because she recently tweeted a shout-out to him when he published his new book, "The Drunk Diet."

M: Monster Pit. The special enclosed space within the Born This Way Ball stage where lucky Monsters who line up for hours, even days, before the show will be able to take in the concerts.

N: Nicola Formichetti. The singer's new creative director will be her co-HBIC for the foreseeable future.

O: Oprah. The talk-show queen is Gaga's new BFF, pretty much. She even tapped the OWN network boss to interview her not long after they launched Gaga's anti-bullying-focused Born This Way Foundation together.

P: Piano. One of the best parts of the Monster Ball was when Gaga would slow things down, chatting with the crowd and showing off her raw talent at the piano.

Q: Quinceaera. Gaga's one-word Twitter response to a Little Monster who asked how she would celebrate her 26th birthday this year, never mind that it's the kind of party reserved for 15-year-olds. They grow up so fast.

R: Red Wine. Widely known to be Mother Monster's alcoholic beverage of choice, alongside whiskey and beer.

S: "Stuck on F---in' You." This unreleased and unedited track was leaked by Gaga herself as a Christmas gift to her Little Monsters. She recorded the naughty song on her tour bus last go-round. Can we get another?

T: Tea. Gaga's non-alcoholic beverage of choice, about which she recently tweeted a lesson she learned: #KettlesAreForTeaNotFashion.

U: Unicorns. The mythical creatures may not exist, but Gaga swoons for them, and why not? Fantasy is as important to her as reality.

V: Video Music Awards. Is it too early to begin the campaign for her to blow our minds again at the 2012 VMAs? We'd even settle for Jo Calderone again.

W: Wigs. Her supply is never-ending and will likely continue to fascinate us right on through her 26th year.

X: "Lady Gaga X Terry Richardson." Amazing photo book. Seriously, check it out.

Y: Yuyi. Will the mermaid join Gaga on tour this year? As long as the tour bus is sea-creature-friendly.

Z: Z100 Jingle Ball. In December, Gaga performed a short-but-captivating set at New York City's Madison Square Garden that gave us a peek at what's to come on the Born This Way Ball.

Usher And Diplo Found 'Chemistry' On 'Climax'

MADISON, Wisconsin ? It was just four years ago that Diplo put his production prowess on full display with M.I.A.'s mega-hit "Paper Planes." Since then, the DJ/producer has become a go-to producer for major acts like Usher, whose latest single, R&B jam "Climax," features work from the Philadelphia native.

On Tuesday, MTV News hit up the first stop on the campus-themed AXE One Night Only Tour in Wisconsin, and we caught up with the headlining DJ to talk about his upcoming projects.

"We got really luck on that one," he said of the track from Usher's upcoming album. "We just had great chemistry. I was super-nervous working with him the first two days. ... The way we did it, it was just a super-open format. He was down to do whatever we were excited about.

"I love Usher," Diplo gushed. "I'm an Usher fan. I love him for records like 'Confessions Pt. II' and 'Burn,' those are some of the first R&B records from my generation that are still lasting forever. And we did some uptempo stuff too. I don't know what'll make the album, but I think there are definitely three songs that'll make it."

Diplo is currently involved with a number of projects and luckily he was willing to dish. After working last summer with No Doubt on their upcoming record, the producer revealed he had good news to share.

"We just finished. I was actually in Jamaica last month and I went in and did some extra stuff on that record," he told us. "I'm super-excited. It's probably going to be a single for their album. They've been [tweeting] about the song, so they're excited about it. I think it's going to be a 'No Doubt featuring Major Lazer' record, because we were producers, and there's another artist on it, too, that we recorded in Jamaica.

"But you'll have to wait," Diplo warned, "I don't know how far off that record is, but every song I've heard is a bona-fide hit. '

The superstar DJ also recently took to his Facebook page and casually mentioned that he's already started production on 18 tracks for a record with Snoop Dogg.

"Snoop Dogg is an icon, man; he's bigger than the music," Diplo said. "What we're doing is a reggae record. It's like Snoop Dogg and Major Lazer together. It's all reggae and he's singing and he's doing a f---ing awesome job and I never knew it, but he had his heart in every song. ... We're going to get back into the production of it next month, and I'm really proud of that record. It's the first record I've ever executive-produced and his crew is amazing.

Exclusive: Linkin Park Ready To 'Burn' With New Single, Album

Last year, when Linkin Park told MTV News they were already beginning work on the follow-up to A Thousand Suns, it was noteworthy for several reasons ? chief among them being that this is a band that likes to take their time with things.

But it looks like all that is changing. On Tuesday, MTV News was on the set of the video for "Burn It Down," the first single from their (still-untitled) new album. So, yes, this is really happening, and yes, it's happening soon, as LP's Chester Bennington explained.

"Well, we promised our fans that we'd put out records faster, and that's what we're doing. We figured out a way to condense our cycle, so to speak, by ... continuing to write, trying to keep the creative ball rolling as often as possible," he said. "We wrote some of the stuff on the road during the last tour, and instead of ... touring for two years, we toured for about a year, we came home, jumped right back into the studio and just worked our butts off to create this record.

"And this album is a really great representation of where we're at right now as a band," Bennington continued. "We're kind of really comfortable with our early n-metal days, and we're really comfortable with where we're at in our more contemporary version of ourselves, so this is a good representation of that comfort level with our own identity as a band."

As for "Burn It Down," well, Bennington said the band chose it as the first single mostly because it showcases everything they're hoping to accomplish on the new disc: a combination of their crackling, crushing past and their ethereal, electro-tinged present. And while we can't reveal any details about the "Burn" video just yet, we'll let Bennington tell you all about the new song:

"All of our songs take these really big creative turns and twists throughout the process, so sometimes songs will start out as a melody or some musical chord progressions. ... Other times, they'll start out as beats, and the next thing you know they kind of evolve over the course of the making of the album," he said. "But what's interesting about this track is the really high energy and the really strong electronic melodies and hooks kind of set this song apart, which is why we chose it as our first single.

"We've kind of drifted into a lot more kind of electronic, digital feel, but what's interesting about this record is that a lot of songs ? people might pick up on this ? but a lot of the songs kind of were started as these folk-driven songs," he continued. "So there's a very organic element to the record, as well as a very modern, kind of futuristic element too. We can't wait for our fans to hear it."

What are you expecting from Linkin Park's new music? Let us know in the comments!

50 Cent Says 'Pauly D Project' Is For 'Every College Student'

Pauly D is ready to launch the next phase of his career with his MTV spin-off, the "Pauly D Project." It follows the "Jersey Shore" star outside of Seaside Heights as he travels the world with his tight-knit crew as an in-demand DJ, getting into fun-loving shenanigans and, yes, some fights here and there.

The whirlwind lifestyle is captured and fans will get the chance to hit party hotspots throughout the world with the star. And they'll get to see him hang out with his celebrity pals like former tourmate Britney Spears and G-Note record label boss, 50 Cent.

When MTV News caught up with 50 while promoting his Street King energy drink with Pauly D in New York City, the MC dished a bit about what fans should expect from his pal on the highly anticipated show.

"Well, Pauly D's show is gonna be as ? I don't want to say more exciting than 'Jersey Shore' ? I'll say as exciting as 'Jersey Shore' to maintain the audience that 'Jersey Shore' had by itself," he said. "He has a lot going on right now, and they'll get a chance to go into his world, as far as his DJing and a lot of things he's actually doing."

"It's a lot of the lifestyle," the rapper added. "Every college student in the world's gonna love this television show."

The "Pauly D Project" kicks off Thursday at 10:30 p.m. ET/PT. It follows the new season of "Punk'd," which will include appearances from celebrities like Miley Cyrus, Taylor Swift, Justin Bieber and Demi Lovato.

'American Idol' Veteran Haley Reinhart's New Single 'Defines' Her

She may not have been crowned the winner of last season's "American Idol," but that hasn't seemed to have any effect on the career of third-place finisher Haley Reinhart. The singer captivated viewers week after week on "Idol" by bringing her own soulful flare to songs like Adele's "Rolling in the Deep" and Lady Gaga's "You and I."

And now, nearly a year later, the jazzy singer is finally ready to show fans who she really is with "Free," the first single off her debut album, Listen Up!

"It's amazing," Reinhart told MTV News Wednesday (March 28) of the release of her single. "I know I took some time after the tour just to make things work and really worth it for me and the fans. It feels amazing to actually put it out there, my own material. I just wanted to make sure it had substance to it, and really could define me and show the artistry."

Reinhart, who returned to the "Idol" stage last week to perform "Free," says it's the perfect song to define the artist she's striving to be.

"I picked it out while I was touring with the 'Idols' and I was getting all these songs shipped into me," she said of "Free." "This one I just had to stop and say 'Hey this has my name written on it.' It's something that I can look in the future and see it being able to define me. It's got elements of the sultry, even hints of jazz in there."

On Tuesday, Reinhart made her acting debut when she played herself on "90210," and we will see her stretch her acting ability even more when she debuts the video for "Free" on Thursday. She said the filming the video was "a dream come true."

"I had this vision and the director, Christopher Sims, really brought it to life for me," she said. "There's a guy involved, it is kind of a motivational break-up song, so I wanted to keep it mature, yet have the playful scenery behind us. We put it out in a '50s-style diner and just kept it playful, fresh."

And she's bringing that playful, fresh vibe to Listen Up! which features collaborations with rapper B.o.B and Reinhart's own father (whom she performed with on "Idol").

"You're going to be surprised to hear a lot of different flavors, but at the same time it all meshes well together," she said of the album, which hits stores May 22. "I show a lot of different sides. I have my roots I come from a lot of different genres, so you'll hear definitely sultriness throughout the entire thing, very retro yet modern take, and there's pop undertones in it with some funk jazz rock, it's got a lot going on."

Justin Bieber's 'Boyfriend' Poised For Big Debut

He's beloved by millions of teenage girls who already think of him as their "Boyfriend," and now Justin Bieber's edgier track seems poised to be one of the teen star's biggest hits yet.

According to Billboard, the song, which dropped Monday, could sell upwards of 400,000 downloads in its first week, giving it a big push on next week's Billboard Hot 100 chart. This would give the singer his best sales week for a song to date in his career.

His biggest thus far belongs to "Never Say Never," which moved 199,000 downloads in its first week, eventually peaking at #5 on the Digital Songs chart.

Based on the estimates for his Hot 100 debut (which takes into account radio airplay, sales and streaming data), Bieber could land in the top five going into next week. So far, his most ubiquitous track, "Baby," is also his highest debut on the Hot 100, having landed at #5 in 2010.

It seems that radio is also embracing the lead Believe single. While Bieber has always had a large fanbase and solid record sales, radio airplay has eluded him a bit. But Billboard further reports that this song could land him in a solid place on the Pop Songs top 10 based on early airplay. So far, he's only managed to land at #14 in 2009 with "One Time" and #16 with "Baby."

"Boyfriend" was co-produced and co-written by Mike Posner, who explained to MTV News that they always intended to make a song that would shift Bieber's career from tween heartthrob to legitimate pop star.

"I think our goal was to make something that me and my friends could listen to in the car," Posner explained. "I think we've all known Justin since he was 13, and that's not the kid I was in the studio with anymore. He's an 18-year-old. He skateboards with Lil Wayne and hangs out with Lil Twist. Those are his homies. And he listens to hip-hop and he's a really cool kid. He's not like a corny guy."

Lindsay Lohan Nabs 'Glee' Role

Lindsay Lohan is confirmed to make an appearance on "Glee." The announcement comes in a wave of casting news for the hit Fox comedy, which includes a spot for comedian and talk-show host Whoopi Goldberg.

A rep for Lohan confirmed the casting to E! News. In a May episode of the show, Lohan is rumored to be onboard to play herself as a judge at Nationals.

Lindsay's mother, Dina, once took issue with the show for poking fun at her after the show included a scene in which Katie Couric informed Jane Lynch's character, Sue Sylvester, that she beat out Dina and her dog Sparky to make the list of the "world's biggest losers." Dina had said, "It's a shame as the dance numbers are amazing, but the writers need to be nice and more creative as opposed to being hurtful."

Lohan has recently been making strides to get back into the acting spotlight. She hosted "Saturday Night Live" this season and is in talks to play the late Elizabeth Taylor in a small-screen biopic.

As for Goldberg, she'll be in three episodes in May, playing a New York Academy of the Dramatic Arts professor (Carmen Tibideaux) who travels to Ohio to meet with Kurt and Rachel about possible acceptance into the school.

In other "Glee" news, rumor has it One Direction might be following in the Wanted's footsteps, getting covered on the show.

Matthew Morrison reportedly told the Sun that the cast will be covering the boy band's single, "What Makes You Beautiful."

"I've just heard of them, they're really taking over the States," Morrison said. "We are covering one of their songs on 'Glee': 'What Makes You Beautiful.' I need to YouTube it to practice."

A rep for the band hadn't responded to MTV News' request for confirmation by press time.
