James Cameron's Deep-Sea Dive Will Influence 'Avatar' Sequels

For as long as we've known about definite plans for the two planned "Avatar" sequels, James Cameron has talked openly about his ambition to explore the oceans of Pandora.

Back on Earth, Cameron has been busy exploring the oceans we all know in his solo trips to the very bottom. When MTV UK spoke with Cameron during promotions for "Titanic 3D," the director said that his dives will influence the further adventures of the Na'vi in some way. He's just not sure how yet.

"The 'Avatar' films, of which you've only seen one, will always be heavily influenced by the ocean and by my exploration and my diving and all that," Cameron said. "So I'm not sure exactly how what I find on this expedition will manifest itself in those movies, but I guarantee there will be some connection."

But before Cameron lines up his next trips to Pandora, he's urging people to experience "Titanic" on the big screen, the way it was meant to be seen. A new ad for the 3D re-release of "Titanic" provides the perfect example of how not to experience the second biggest movie of all time.

The spot begins with the classic image of Leonardo DiCaprio sketching a person most people would presume is Kate Winslet. Most people would be very, very wrong.

In her place on the couch across the way, is the Situation of "Jersey Shore" fame, posing in the buff like one of Jack's French girls. If James Cameron wanted to convince the world that "Titanic" is best seen on the big screen, mission accomplished, sir.
