Ol' Dirty Bastard To Be Played By Michael K. Williams In Biopic

A movie based upon the life of the Wu-Tang Clan's Ol' Dirty Bastard�titled "Dirty White Boy" is in the works. Entertainment Weekly exclusively�reports�that�actor Michael K. Williams, most known for his roles as�Chalky White on�Boardwalk Empire�or the frightening, gunshot-toting Omar Little in�The Wire, will take on the role of Russell Jones a.k.a. ODB.��"Dirty White Boy"�is based on the final�years of ODB?s life�and will focus on�the strange personal and professional relationship between the rapper and Jarred Weisfeld, a 22-year-old VH1 production assistant who eventually became ODB's manager in the early 2000s.

The film will chronicle the beleaguered rapper's well-known addictions. ODB died of a fatal overdose in 2004 at the age of 35.At the time, Weisfeld told MTV News,�"He was the complete opposite of what people made him out to be. He was a teddy bear."

"Dirty White Boy"�is being produced by Lars Knudsen and Jay Van Hoy ("Beginners")�and�the screenplay is by Brent Hoff, who worked at VH1, where he first met ODB and his manager. The role of Weisfeld has yet to be cast.

In 2009, ODB's relatives and Wu colleagues shared his story in the documentary "Dirty." Directed by ODB's cousin Raison Allah, the doc set out to answer the question: "Who was Dirty?"
