What do you get when you put The Comedian and Hit-Girl in the same room? Apparently, you get this emotional scene from "The Texas Killing Fields," a new crime thriller directed by Ami Canaan Mann.
Sam Worthington, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Jessica Chastain and Chloe Moretz star in this drama based loosely on real-life events. Morgan plays Brian Heigh, a New York detective transplanted in Texas who works alongside a local cop (Worthington), the two of them teaming together to investigate a series of unsolved murders where bodies have been appearing in a nearby marsh locals call "The Killing Fields."
In this exclusive clip from the movie, watch as Anne (Moretz), a local girl from a troubled home, goes head-to-head against Detective Heigh, who's clearly concerned for her safety. But based on her talk?and true to Moretz form?it seems like Anne can take care of herself just fine? but looks, as they say, can be deceiving.
"The Texas Killing Fields" will be in select theaters on October 14, 2011.
