'Hunger Games' Director Gary Ross: Jennifer Lawrence's Perspective Is 'Intense'

"The Hunger Games" teaser at the VMAs was more than just a passing glimpse at the upcoming film: it was a taste of things to come. Director Gary Ross caught up with Hollywood Crush over Skype and said that the movie, like the book, is going to be very much from the perspective of its main character, Katniss Everdeen.

"That's one of the fun things about it. There are times when you're viscerally inside [Jennifer Lawrence's] shoes, and that's the main experience," he said. "And there are other times when you're witnessing her the way they're witnessing her in the Game?and she's constantly being watched, which is one of the things that makes the book so compelling. But it's mainly an intense first-person experience, inside Katniss' shoes."

"Bond 23" To Shoot In India
Sam Mendes's upcoming Bond movie might not have a title yet, but it does have some of its filming locations. The Hollywood Reporter states that the movie will possibly film in multiple locations in India. Meanwhile, there's a rumor floating around that the new film might be called "Carte Blanche" after the novel that was released earlier this year, but Badass Digest tends to think that it is rumor and nothing more.

David Fincher's "20,000 Leagues Under The Sea" To Be Different Than Original
CinemaBlend recently sat down with "20,000 Leagues Under The Sea" writer Scott Z. Burns to talk about the upcoming adaptation, and learned that the story will differ slightly from Jules Verne's classic novel. He said there's "very little" that is being taken from the source material, and that his job "isn?t to turn a book into a movie, it?s to be inspired by the book and then go write a movie." Still, he says he and director David Fincher are staying "very, very true to the spirit of the book" and will include Captain Nemo, Professor Pierre Aronnax and Ned Land.

David Koepp To Write Johnny Depp's "The Thin Man"
Johnny Depp and director Rob Marshall have finally found a writer for their remake of "The Thin Man." They have hired "Mission: Impossible" writer David Koepp to write the adaptation of the classic novel. Deadline has the news, though they didn't say when its expected production start date would be.

"Transporter" TV Series Gets Overhaul
Deadline has learned that there's a serious shake-up happening over at Cinemax's "Transporter" TV series. Apparently the show's executive producers, Joseph Mallozzi and Paul Mullie, have left the project over creative differences. In their place, Steven Shill -- who was recently brought in to work with them anyway -- will take over showrunner duties. The series is currently three weeks into filming in Toronto, and is working on episodes 4 and 5. "Prison Break" and "Burn Notice" star Chris Vance is playing transporter Frank Martin.
