Daniel Radcliffe Won't Film More Wizarding World Of Harry Potter Rides

The next few years are going to be pretty exciting for fans of the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. It was recently announced that a new Wizarding World location would be opening up in Universal Hollywood over the next few years as Universal Orlando expands its current "Potter"-themed area.

What's neat about the Wizarding World is the ability for the "Potter" legacy to live on even as we get further and further away from the culmination of the book and film series'. No matter how many years pass, Harry, Ron and Hermione will still be there, ageless, inviting fans to go on adventures with them in "Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey."

Daniel Radcliffe and castmates Emma Watson and Rupert Grint all recorded video specifically for "Forbidden Journey" while they were still shooting "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows." It's worth wondering, then, whether or not Wizarding World's expansion means Dan, Emma and Rupert might don their Hogwarts uniform again over the next few years.

When MTV News caught up with Radcliffe while he was promoting "The Woman in Black," he said he doesn't see it happening any time soon.

"To be honest, I don?t think I would do that," he said. "Because, if that's going to be happening over the next few years, I'm going to be spending my time over the next few years ... working quite hard to make a separation and show people that I can do other stuff so I think it might be counterproductive for me to be continually revisiting and revisiting."

Even if Radcliffe isn't interesting in filming further Wizarding World rides, this could be an interesting opportunity to have other -- or new -- cast members come in and record video for their own rides. Luna's Looney Thestral Coaster or McGonagall's Transfiguration Adventure -- two ideas we just made up -- would not need Radcliffe's involvement to go forward. And, if Universal were to make a Gringotts ride as has been speculated, then they could just use footage from "Deathly Hallows: Part 2" instead of shooting anything new.

Radcliife made sure that he didn't sound ungrateful after admitting he'd probably turn down the opportunity to do more work on the creation of Wizarding World rides.

"As I've always said to you, I feel like I've said a thousand times, I never want to turn my back on 'Potter.' It gave me everything, and it would be turning my back on 10 amazing years of love and excitement and having a great time," Radcliffe said. "And I'm starting to get a little bit long in the tooth to be wearing the wizarding school uniform. We've all got to be facing up with that as well."

Fair enough, Dan. We don't want to see a grey Harry Potter any time soon -- unless it's on "Saturday Night Live."
