'Harry Potter' Alternate Ending: Is This How It Should Have Ended?

There are many arguments for various alternate endings for the "Harry Potter" franchise, but the folks over at How It Should Have Ended put together the most cohesive and convincing one we've seen yet.

Okay, so it starts off pretty much the same as the end of "Deathly Hallows: Part 2" but makes two notable exceptions. First off, it ditches the epilogue, so you're welcome for that MTV Movies Blog editor Josh Wigler.

Second -- and, it goes without saying, SPOILER ALERT if you still haven't seen the movie/read the final book -- it brings Snape back from the dead, and that's really all we can ask for in a "Harry Potter" alternate ending. After all, the Potions professor didn't win MTV's Harry Potter World Cup for being boring or lame.

The video puts forth quite a few good points, though, about plot holes in the series, so after the jump we go through and give the folks at HISHE their proper due for their hilarious video.

Valid Point: Snape Shouldn't Have Died
He must have seen Voldemort's inevitable betrayal coming, after all. The video brings up the good point that Snape probably should have had a back up plan to prevent the most evil wizard of all time from offing him. After all, he is Severus Snape.

Valid Point: Where The Eff Is The Time Turner
This is that plot hole that gets brought up again and again and again: if J.K. Rowling brought up time travel, why in the world didn't she use it for more than one book?! We like the HISHE use of it, though. One death just isn't enough for He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named.

Valid Point: Don't Send Your Kids To Hogwarts
Even before Harry Potter was sent to Hogwarts and started wreaking havoc on the "normal" wizarding school year, it still wasn't a safe place to send children to school. I get it, the wizarding world is more dangerous than our own, but seriously, there's Aragog, the Whomping Willow and dangerous mermaids all on the campus grounds. Why do parents keep sending their kids back?!

Valid Point: They Should Have Killed Voldemort Off To Begin With
This goes back to the time turner device: why didn't someone off Voldemort to begin with. Like Dumbledore couldn't have seen that one coming.

Valid Point: A "Harry Potter"/"Lord Of The Rings" Cross Over Is Long Overdue
Or at least we could really use a Dumbledore/Gandalf buddy cop web series. Someone, please get on that ASAP.
