Waka Flocka Mourns Slim Dunkin At Public Viewing

Atlanta rapper and Waka Flocka affiliate, Slim Dunkin, was mourned in a public viewing service in his hometown on Thursday night (December 22). The open memorial ran from 6p.m. ET to 9 p.m., at the Willie A. Watkins Funeral Home in Atlanta, where friends and family paid their respects to the slain rapper.

Slim Dunkin (born Mario Hamilton) was a member of Waka Flocka?s Brick Squad Monopoly, and he was shot and killed last week after an altercation with another man in an Atlanta recording studio. Waka attended the viewing on Thursday night to pay respects to his close friend and although he was noticeably upset, he also remained composed throughout the night. Wooh Da Kid and other members of Brick Squad were present, in addition to Hamilton?s personal friends from other crews across the city who wanted to say goodbye.

Slim?s family insisted that no interviews be conducted during the difficult time but this weekend Waka expressed his grief on Twitter, writing ?WISH IT WAS ME ... MY F---ING RIGHT HAND IS GONE," and "IM LOST.?

On Tuesday new details in the case began to emerge, with WSB-TV in Atlanta reporting that the altercation began over a stolen piece of candy.

Dunk was an emerging star in Waka Flocka Flame's Brick Squad Monopoly crew. Aside from key appearances alongside Flocka on his 2010 debut album, Flockaveli, and on Gucci Mane and V-Nasty's BAYTL LP, Slim was also beginning to make waves as a soloist. This past Halloween the street-bred MC released Menace II Society, a 20-track mixtape that featured Gucci Mane, Roscoe Dash and Pastor Troy.
