When the NBA's regular season came to an end last Thursday, we witnessed Nets players sporting the New Jersey logo across their chests for the last time. The team released a new video this week as promotion for their first season at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn this fall. The video, titled "Hello Brooklyn" (in reference to Jay-Z's ?Hello Brooklyn 2.0?) features Nets players throughout the years, including the likes of Jason Kidd, Kenyon Martin, Julius ?Dr. J? Irving, and current star, Deron Williams.
The ad places a lot of emphasis on neighborhood, rebuilding, and pride, bearing a title that tributespart owner Jay-Z?s, track ?Brooklyn 2.0? from his highly praised American Gangster album. Following the new video clip, Hov also added a new post to his Life + Times website, showing off the Nets' brand new logo in black and white colorways.
Let?s hope that a change of scenery does some good for the franchise that has a few highs, but many lows, throughout its NBA tenure. As the Nets take off the ?New Jersey? and put on a new jersey many Brooklynites have high hopes that the Nets will bring a championship to their new home at the Barclays Center.
