He told you he'd be back, and he lived up to his word: Arnold Schwarzenegger is officially back in action as a movie star.
The former Governator is slated to make his big screen comeback when "The Last Stand" rolls in front of cameras early next year, but we'll get a look at him before that when he reprises his role as Trench in "The Expendables 2." And you won't have to wait for Sylvester Stallone's star-studded sequel to hit theaters to get a first look, either: here's Schwarzenegger himself, providing you with all the photographic evidence you need that his days as an action hero are officially back on.
"Back in action for The Expendables 2!" the Austrian Oak teased in a recent Twitter post, alongside the above shot of himself standing with Stallone and fellow returning co-star Bruce Willis. "I'm having a fantastic time on set with Bruce and Sly in Bulgaria."
There's still very little to report on the extent of Schwarzenegger's involvement in the film, though it's said that his character, Trench, as well as Willis' mysterious behind-the-scenes persona, Church, have "substantial roles" to play in the "Expendables" sequel. Perfectly fine by me: we're way past overdue for a full-on Stallone, Schwarzenegger, Willis smackdown.
Aside from the three key action stars, "The Expendables 2" features returning players Jason Statham and Jet Li, as well as newcomers (but old-timers) Jean-Claude Van Damme and Chuck Norris.
